Our take
I recommend Stay Hotel Faro Centro for travellers who want a plain, central three-star in Faro's historic area. Steps from Santo António Street and the marina, it makes sightseeing easy on foot, and the buffet breakfast is a solid start to the day. Some rooms have bathtubs, which families with small children may appreciate, so I would ask for one. A 7.7 score suggests simple furnishing, and I would not expect a pool or a spa.
- Take advantage of the central location to explore Faro's historic centre and marina on foot.
- Enjoy the rich buffet breakfast to fuel your day before heading out to discover the city.
- If a bathtub is important to you, inquire about rooms that include this feature when booking.
