The playground and tennis court set this homestay apart from the apartments filling most of Barreiro: there is somewhere for children to run before dinner without leaving the property. Balcony rooms look out over the river, and the shared kitchen and minimarket downstairs cover self-catering without a supermarket run. Furnishings stay simple, a private bathroom and a wardrobe rather than anything styled for photographs, and the outdoor seating area becomes the natural gathering point once the sun starts to drop over the Tagus in the evening. The Fluvial de Alburrica river beach sits a short walk away, rounding out a stay built around outdoor time rather than screens. The Transtejo ferry to Terreiro do Paço remains the fastest way across the river for most of the properties described here.
