Our take
I would book Meliá Ria Hotel & Spa for a central Aveiro stay with an indoor pool and a spa, next to the Congress Centre, so it also works well for events. The restaurant has views of the Ria, and pets are welcome. Rooms are recently renovated and air-conditioned. A rating of 8.5 is solid. It is a modern city hotel rather than a seaside resort.
