Our take
All-inclusive dining, indoor and outdoor pools and a spa with sauna make 3HB Guarana an easy pick for families who want to stay put in Albufeira. I would recommend it to parents who prefer meals and activities on site rather than planning each day. Couples looking for a quiet, adults-only retreat may find the family atmosphere lively.
- Explore the spa facilities early in your stay to make the most of the sauna and hammam.
- Try the different themed nights at the restaurant to sample the full range of international cuisines.
- Take advantage of the all-inclusive package for drinks and snacks by the pool throughout the day.

Why guests love itIndoor and outdoor pools mean children at 3HB Guarana can swim whatever the weather, which is the first thing I would mention to families. Rooms are air-conditioned family rooms with balconies, and the all-inclusive formula covers meals at the modern restaurant, where breakfast choices are varied. Parents can take turns at the spa, sauna or fitness centre. Guests rate the resort 8.9 from 544 reviews. Families wanting to cook for themselves will find an apartment more flexible.
